A friend and I hunted with Johan Kotze in June of 2006. We tremendously enjoyed the experience. Mabel (Johan’s wife) looked after and cooked for us at gourmet level. She also took care of our accommodation in the new lodge built by the Kotzes in conjunction with their traditional farm house. Johan was a great hunting partner, always supportive and helpful, yet with an uncanny eye for the game and never short of a plan for catching up with the elusive animals of the Kalahari. If at all possible, I would terribly enjoy to return to hunt with Johan and Mabel again.

This hunt has been more than expected. It seems we are the first of all of you that will experience a hunt like no other. Be prepared to go from first light to way after dark. You will be sore and very tired, but in the end you will be so satisfied. Johan and Deon are the best!

2nd Safari in Africa- Compared to the first in Zimbawe- Saw 50 times as much game. Johan and Deon went out of their way to provide the best any P.H. could do. Long days and provided the service any hunter could ask for.
I highly recommend this hunt to all- All the cooking & meals by Mabel are the best by any standard. 4 Star Rating for this Safari- Time just went by too fast!

My 1st safari and I never expted to see so many animals and harvest ALL + MORE of the ones that I was after. Many Thanks to Johan, Deon, Jean, Mabel ,Marieta, and Sophia. They not only made me feel at home, but part of their families. I would like to use the term "Comrades for Life". I didn’t exptect to meet such wonderful and beautiful people. The hunting was a plus. I will truly keep in touch with you the rest of my life. Keep me in mind for a May, July openings. I will not say goodbye, but will say, "until we meet again comrade."
